Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an experienced Yardi ERP Implementation Consultant for a remote, project-based engagement in the United States. You will lead and support the Yardi transition, perform project-level accounting, data migration, reconciliations and SOP development across ~30 active construction projects.

The role requires hands-on accounting expertise with Yardi and deep knowledge of construction/job-cost processes, ensuring financial accuracy through go-live and post-implementation phases.

Position Overview

A growing organization in the affordable housing and real estate development industry is seeking an experienced Yardi ERP Implementation Consultant with a strong background in construction accounting, real estate development, project accounting, and job costing to support a major ERP transition from MIP Abila to Yardi.

This consultant will play a critical role throughout the Yardi implementation, go-live, and transition period, supporting accounting operations across approximately 30 active construction and development projects.

The ideal candidate will be a highly hands-on accounting professional with both advanced Yardi experience and strong construction/job-cost accounting expertise. This individual should understand how project-level financial activity flows through an ERP system and be comfortable working directly with accounting, construction, development, and implementation teams.

The consultant will assist with system setup, data migration, project-level accounting, reconciliations, dual accounting, troubleshooting, process improvement, and SOP development while helping ensure financial accuracy throughout the transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the organization's transition from MIP Abila to Yardi, including implementation, testing, go-live, and post-go-live activities.
• Provide hands-on accounting support for approximately 30 active construction and development projects.
• Perform and support dual accounting during the ERP transition to ensure continuity and accuracy between systems.
• Assist with the migration, setup, validation, and reconciliation of project-level financial data within Yardi.
• Manage and reconcile construction project accounting activity, including job costs, project expenses, commitments, invoices, payments, and other project-related transactions.
• Review accounting data for accuracy and identify discrepancies, missing information, or system/process issues.
• Troubleshoot Yardi and accounting issues and work toward practical solutions with minimal supervision.
• Partner with accounting, construction, development, and implementation teams to resolve issues and maintain accurate project financials.
• Assist with job-cost reporting, project reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis throughout the implementation.
• Help identify gaps between legacy processes and Yardi functionality and recommend improvements.
• Develop, document, and standardize SOPs, workflows, and accounting procedures for the post-implementation environment.
• Provide hands-on support and guidance to accounting staff as they learn and transition to Yardi.
• Maintain detailed notes regarding system issues, processes, resolutions, and outstanding items.
• Prioritize competing projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Support additional accounting and implementation-related projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Yardi ERP, preferably within real estate development, affordable housing, construction, or property accounting.
• Strong background in construction accounting, project accounting, and job-cost accounting.
• Experience supporting or leading an ERP implementation, system conversion, or Yardi go-live.
• Prior experience working in a dual-system accounting environment during an ERP transition.
• Strong understanding of project-level accounting and construction financial processes.
• Ability to work independently and step directly into an active accounting environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate financial information.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to quickly learn existing processes, take thorough notes, and independently research and troubleshoot issues before escalating.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on implementation environment.
