Job summary

Fives DyAG Corp. is seeking a Plant Controller in Michigan to oversee all financial and accounting functions at the manufacturing plant. This role leads financial planning, cost control, and accounting practices, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

You will partner with plant management to drive cost savings, manage budgeting and forecasting, and present reports to leadership. Strong knowledge of cost accounting, ERP systems, and internal controls is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 5+ years in accounting or finance in manufacturing; plant controller or senior cost accountant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial and accounting functions for the plant, including general ledger, cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Analyze plant performance, including production costs, variances, inventory levels, and margins.
• Partner with plant management to drive cost savings, operational efficiency, and strategic improvements.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to plant and corporate leadership.
• Ensure accurate and timely closing of monthly financial statements.
• Develop standard costs and maintain accurate inventory valuations.
• Monitor capital expenditures and assist in capital budgeting processes.
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with SOX (if applicable).
• Serve as the key financial liaison between the plant and corporate finance team.
• Lead financial audits, physical inventory counts, and compliance reporting.
• Supervise and develop plant accounting staff.
