Job summary

RTD Talent Solutions, LLC represents a client in the automotive aftermarket, wholesale distribution, and industrial manufacturing sectors seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting function.

In a complex, inventory-intensive environment, you will oversee financial reporting, cost and inventory accounting, budgeting, cash flow, and internal controls, while managing a capable accounting team and ensuring ERP integrity (Sage 500 or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Experience leading accounting in manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-intensive environments.
• CPA or CMA designation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cost and inventory accounting, standard costing, and BOM.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepare financial statements and management reporting.
• Oversee standard costs, bills of material, labor and overhead rates, and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Manage inventory accounting, reconciliations, cycle counts, valuation, and excess or obsolete inventory controls.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and operational financial analysis.
• Strengthen internal controls, audit readiness, accounting procedures, and compliance.
• Maintain financial data integrity within Sage 500 or a comparable ERP, improve reporting, and lead the accounting team.

RTD Talent Solutions is currently representing a client in theautomotive aftermarket, wholesale distribution, and industrial manufacturing sectorsthat isseekingan experiencedController.

Our client specializes in aftermarket truck and automotive parts, international sourcing, inventory management, wholesale distribution, and Tier 1 metal manufacturing. Its operations include fabrication, stamping, laser cutting, machining, welding, coating, and assembly.

As Controller, you would lead the accounting function across a complex, inventory intensive environment and oversee financial reporting, internal controls, cost and inventory accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and working capital.

Key job duties, among others:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepare financial statements and management reporting

• Oversee standard costs, bills of material, labor and overhead rates, and manufacturing variance analysis

• Manage inventory accounting, reconciliations, cycle counts, valuation, and excess or obsolete inventory controls
