Job summary

CCL Industries is seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee payroll, reporting, budgeting, and internal controls within a manufacturing environment.

You will supervise accounting staff, coordinate with HR and production teams, and ensure accurate cost analysis, asset reporting, and compliance with corporate policies.

Qualifications

• BS degree in accounting; 5+ years experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• CPA, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews payroll for timeliness and accuracy.
• Creates monthly/quarterly financial reports.
• Interacts with internal audit and follows up on findings.
• Ensures accurate production reporting and inventory control daily.
• Oversees fixed asset reporting and justification of spending.
• Supervises accounting clerical staff (Payroll Mgr., A/P Coordinator, A/R Coordinator, Pricing Mgr., front desk).
• Collaborates with HR on government submissions and training grants.
• Reviews receivables and discusses with Sales Manager.
• Leads annual budgeting and monthly forecasting; analyzes variances.
• Reviews product costing and profitability; assesses future pricing.
• Prepares annual performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Completes census reports annually.
• Approves team JE’s and balance sheet reconciliations.

SUMMARY

Responsible for providing timely and accurate information on the operation of the facility to allow both the plant and the corporate headquarters to make accurate decisions while safeguarding the company’s total assets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. This list is not all inclusive and may include other duties as necessary.

• Reviews and assures accurate completion of the payroll.
• Creates monthly/quarterly financial reports.
• Engages with the internal audit team and carries out any necessary relevant follow-up.
• Communicates with the production support team and assures accurate production reporting and inventory control daily.
• Responsible for fixed asset reporting including justification of spending.
• Supervises the accounting clerical personnel, including Payroll Mgr., A/P Coordinator, A/R Coordinator, Pricing Mgr., and front office Receptionist.
• Works closely with the human resources department on creating submissions for the government and training grants.
• Reviews outstanding receivables and discusses with the Sales Manager.
• Responsible for creating the annual budget and forecasting monthly results while analyzing the actual versus the budget.
• Reviews product costing and analysis of product profitability and future job pricing.
• Prepares and reviews annual performance evaluations with all direct reports.
• Completes annual census reports.
• Reviews and approves team JE’s and balance sheet reconciliations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this position successfully, an individual must understand word processing, spreadsheets, and/or graphics. These may include Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A BS degree in accounting, along with 5 plus years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

CPA, preferred
