Job summary

Modern HR is seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee financial operations, ensuring GAAP/IFRS/SOX compliance and safeguarding assets across the organization.

You will manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and deliver comprehensive financial reporting to support strategic planning and governance. This role partners with auditors and leadership to strengthen internal controls in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Extensive corporate accounting experience with double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and GL management.
• Proven expertise in SOX compliance, IFRS standards, and government/non-profit accounting desirable.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
• Excellent written communication for comprehensive financial reporting.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Duties
