Role Description The Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Bossier City, LA, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management and accounting operations for Spire Healthcare Management LLC. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the general ledger, preparing and reviewing financial statements, monitoring budgets, and ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes. The Controller will implement and maintain internal controls, support audit activities, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. This role will oversee accounts payable and receivable, cash management, and financial reporting, while providing financial analysis and recommendations to leadership to support strategic decision-making. The Controller will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor accounting staff, and contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and financial transparency.

Qualifications

• Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including experience with general ledger management, month-end close, and preparation of financial statements.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
• Experience with internal controls, audit support, and compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Advanced skills in financial software and ERP systems, as well as strong Excel and data analysis capabilities.
• Effective leadership and team management abilities, with experience mentoring accounting staff and collaborating across departments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Relevant experience as a Controller or senior accounting/finance leader, ideally in healthcare, DME, or multi-entity environments.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
