ROLE

TheControllerisresponsibleforleadingtheaccounting,financialplanning&analysis,andrelatedfunctions;overseeingthepreparationoffinancialstatements,forecasts,andreports;developinginternalcontrols;supportingmanagementinthepreparationoftheannualbudgetandanalysisofbusinessresults;andsupportingtheannualauditofPlayer&Co'sconsolidatedfinancialstatements.ExperiencewithintheConstructionservicesindustryispreferred.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS

• Leadanddirectaccounting,billing,accountsreceivable,payables,andreportingfunctions.
• Preparemonthly,quarterly,annualfinancialstatements(incomestatement,balancesheet,
• statementofcashflows),reportsanddisclosuresusingERPattheCorporatelevel
• Ownthejobcostaccountingcycleendtoend,includingjobsetup,costcodingstructure,laborandequipmentburdenrates,committedcosttracking,andcost-to-completedisciplineacrossallactiveprojects.
• PartnerwithProjectManagersandOperationstoreviewjobcostdetailmonthly,validateestimatestocomplete,andchallengetheassumptionsthatdriveprojectmargin.
• Prepare,review,andanalyzethemonthlyWorkinProcess(WIP)schedule,includingearnedrevenue,over-andunder-billings(contractassetsandcontractliabilities),andestimatedgrossprofitbyjob;reconciletheWIPscheduletothegeneralledgerandfinancialstatementseachperiod.
• Identifyandexplainmarginfadeorgain,changesinestimates,andunapprovedorpendingchangeorderexposure;escalateat-riskjobstomanagementwithsupportinganalysis.
• EnsurerevenueisrecognizedinaccordancewithASC606,applyingthepercentage-of-completion(cost-to-costinput)methodand,whereapplicable,point-in-timerecognitionfortime-and-materialandunit-pricework;evaluateperformanceobligations,variableconsideration(incentives,liquidateddamagesandclaims),contractmodificationsandchangeorders,andlossjobreserves;documentconclusionsandmaintainthesupportingtechnicalmemorandaandcontrols.
• ProvideWIPschedules,jobcostsupport,andrelatedschedulestoexternalauditors,sureties,andlenders.
• Developinternalcontrolpolicies,guidelines,andproceduresforallactivitieswithinscopeofresponsibility.
• Provideguidancetotheaccountingteamandensuretheteamexecutesallfunctionsinaccordancewithcompanystandards,GAAP,andapplicablelaws.
• Reviewandvalidatebankreconciliations,resolvingdiscrepanciestoensuretheadjustedbankbalancetiespreciselytothegeneralledger.
• Coordinateandexecuteannualauditofthecompany’sfinancialstatements.
• Ensuremanagementreportingalignswithoverallstrategyandthatqualityinformationisavailabletohelpmanagementmakekeydecisions.
• Leadeffortstostreamlinefinancialprocessesandreporting.
• Workwithcompanymanagementonpreparingtheannualbudget.
• Overseethemonth-end,quarter-end,andyear-endcloseprocessesandreviewfinancialresults,balancesheetreconciliations,andjournalentriesforcompliancewithU.S.GAAP.
• OverseecompliancewithFederal,State,andLocaltaxrequirements.
• Conductallbusinessactivitiesinaccordancewith3E,LLCpoliciesandprocedures,CoreValues,andallapplicablelegalrequirements.
