Job summary

Voqal Partners seeks a Controller to lead day-to-day accounting, including payroll, AP/AR, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the organization. The role partners with the CFO to drive accurate financial operations and compliance across the business.

You will ensure the integrity of financial reporting, oversee internal and external reporting requirements, and guide the accounting staff toward improved efficiency and results.

• Ensure integrity of financial reporting system and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Manage accounting department functions and staff; provide management direction to accounting team.
• Collaborate with CFO to oversee organization-wide accounting and financial operations.

Job description

The Controller is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting activities such as accounts payable/receivable, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management. The Controller works directly with CFO in overseeing accounting and financial operations for the organization and its business operations. The Controller ensures the integrity of the financial reporting system; fulfills internal and external financial reporting requirements; manages accounting department functions; ensures continued compliance with local, state, and federal regulations; and provides management direction to accounting staff. Additionally, the Controller will make suggestions on how to improve the organization and its business to drive results and achieve set goals.
