Job summary

RFA Engineering is seeking an entry-level to experienced Control Systems Engineer to join our onsite team at a world-class facility. The role covers development, testing, and improvement of machine control systems across electro-hydraulic, powertrain, and drivetrain domains, leveraging MATLAB/Simulink and hands-on testing to deliver reliable performance gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field (Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing/Robotics) or related.
• Experience via internships, co-ops, academic projects, or professional roles.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, or similar modeling tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement control systems for electro-hydraulic, powertrain, drivetrain, and machine implement systems.
• Create and maintain control system models using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Perform simulations and virtual testing to evaluate system performance.
• Conduct machine testing, troubleshooting, and control system tuning.
• Analyze machine and sensor data to improve performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with design, software, and test engineers to validate solutions.
• Translate feedback into measurable product improvements.
• Support product development from concept through production.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for control system development and testing.
• Assist in creating electrical design schedules and meet overall project timelines.
• Analyze project requirements and perform calculations for electrical needs and safety standards.
