Control Systems Engineer

Join a longstanding OEM / equipment manufacturer based in St. Clarita, CA, that prides itself on providing innovative and reliable solutions across the United States. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will have the chance to shape the future of our operations and technologies while engaging directly with our diverse clientele.

Salary: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Program and troubleshoot PLC systems, primarily Siemens, but including other platforms as necessary.
  • Design and program HMI systems using Siemens and IDEC, along with other platforms.
  • Develop and provide data logging capabilities tailored to project requirements.
  • Design, layout, and occasionally build and wire electrical panels.
  • Select and source electrical and mechanical components for projects.
  • Create comprehensive lists of components needed for procurement and production purposes.
  • Produce detailed electrical drawings for panel builders and installation teams.
  • Offer mechanical support during the installation and servicing of equipment, showcasing strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Travel to client sites across the contiguous 48 states to ensure projects meet client standards and expectations (10% - 20% travel).

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in PLC programming, particularly with Siemens systems.
  • Experienced in HMI design and programming.
  • Capability to design and layout electrical panels, including building and wiring if necessary.
  • Ability to select, source, and organize components for projects.
  • Adept at creating and providing clear electrical drawings for various deployment stages.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in on-site environments.
  • Strong mechanical skills relevant to the installation and maintenance of complex machinery.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9000, CE, or UL, with the potential to lead certification processes.
  • Ability to perform structural load calculations for various engineering projects.
  • Experience in managing production within an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Bilingual abilities to aid in communication with diverse teams and clients.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in industrial connections and network configurations (Ethernet/IP, Profinet).
