Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in New York is seeking a Control System Engineer to design and integrate robust SCADA networks for critical infrastructure, including transportation, water/wastewater, and life safety systems. You’ll work with AutoCAD/Revit, and collaborate across disciplines.

The role involves vendor engagement, BOM development, and project documentation, with 10–15% travel and a hybrid work policy that balances office and remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering (Controls focus), Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License in Control Systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Proficiency with Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Schneider, Wonderware SCADA manufacturers.
• Must have minimum requirements to work Government Projects.

Responsibilities

• Design SCADA Network, panel layouts, I/O wiring diagrams and fiber optic networks.
• Develop Bill of Materials and Estimates for Design projects.
• Prepare drawings detailing the system designed utilizing AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Develop Conceptual design reports and Concept of Operation Documents.
• Prepare Engineering Specifications.
• Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects.
• Engage with SCADA vendors and manufacturers to understand product capabilities.

Our Control System Engineers provide technically complex and robust SCADA systems to support critical transportation and aviation infrastructure, water/wastewater and mission-critical environments.

Our Engineers are in involved in designing or integrating Power Systems, Life Safety systems (Ventilation and Fire), Traffic systems and mechanical systems You will be exposed to and become proficient in designing and implementation of SCADA systems. Additional requirements include knowledge of PLC and HMI programming, panel building, power distribution system, Mechanical Systems (Pump, Fuel and Generators), fire alarm and life safety systems and construction administration services.

Your daily job function will include one or more of the following:

The base salary range for this position is $120,000.00 to $165,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
