Job summary

Guardian Glass in DeWitt, IA is hiring a Control Room Operator to operate, monitor and control our process from a remote control room. The role runs a 12‑hour shift and includes weekends, holidays and overtime as needed, with starting pay of $28/hour.

You will respond to alarms, perform equipment checks, and quality checks on the glass produced while maintaining a safe workspace and PPE. Training starts on day shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One or more years of experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience using a computer and familiarity with technology.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and control process operation along with troubleshooting from a remote-control room up to 6 hours daily.
• Respond to alarms including some emergency responses.
• Maintain the equipment in your area.
• Perform quality checks of the glass being produced.
• Maintain a safe work environment by consistently wearing proper PPE, performing safe work behaviors, and communicating all safety concerns to supervisor.
• Perform tasks such as lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds, walking, climbing, stooping, and standing, up to 12 hours/day, in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Must be able to work in and around heat for periods of time.

Our Guardian Glass facility in DeWitt, IA is hiring for the role ofControl Room Operator. We are seeking driven individuals who enjoy learning new things and being hands-on. In this role, you will be responsible for operating the equipment and monitoring the process. OurControl Room Operators work a 12-hr shift to include weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.Starting pay is $28/hour.

Shift

This role supports a 24/7 manufacturing operation. Employees will train initially on day shift (5:45am-6:00pm) before transitioning to a rotating shift schedulethat includes both day and night 12‑hour shifts.

Due to the nature of the operation, flexibility is required, and overtime may be necessary to support production needs. Scheduled days off may be adjusted based on staffing and operational demands.
