Job summary

Campos Fabrication is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Panel Shop Technician to assemble, wire, and test electrical control panels. You will read blueprints and schematics and ensure compliance with safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include panel assembly, wiring, termination, and cabinet layout with emphasis on accurate wiring. Requires HS diploma/GED and at least 1 year of panel assembly experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of control panel assembly experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring and control panels/instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, terminate, and wire electrical panels and boxes to approved workmanship standards.
• Perform point to point wiring on panels and power distribution boxes using company tools.
• Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and work orders to determine materials.
• Position and align components to facilitate wiring or assembly.
• Wiring is the primary focus and requires proficiency.
• Layout components in cabinets of various sizes.

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Electrical Panel Shop Technician with experience in assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels. Candidates should be proficient in interpreting blueprints and schematics, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and contributing to team success in fast-paced environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assemble, terminate, and wire electrical panels and electrical boxes using the specified tooling and approved workmanship standards, including complete installation into enclosure.
• Perform point to point wiring on a variety of electrical panels and power distribution electrical boxes; using company supplied hand tools, such as crimpers and wire strippers.
• Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
• Position, align, or adjust work pieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
• The primary focus will be spent wiring panels therefore it is imperative that candidate be proficient at wiring.
• Layout of components in various size cabinets.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of 1 year control panel assembly experience
• High school diploma /GED
• Knowledge and experience with electrical wiring as well as control panels and instrumentation

Salary: $26-40/hr (Commensurate with experience)
