Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between project stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and internal engineering teams
  • Oversee the development and integration of PLC, DCS, SCADA, instrumentation, and digital/analog control systems
  • Guide system integrators and vendors through design, implementation, installation, and commissioning phases
  • Review and drive technical decisions related to equipment changes, programming updates, vendor submittals, and engineering deviations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including process, electrical, nuclear, structural, and construction engineering groups
  • Prepare and review engineering deliverables including:
  • Instrumentation specifications
  • Cable routing and conduit layouts
  • Test plans and commissioning documentation
  • Support procurement activities for electrical and controls equipment
  • Coordinate field installation activities and provide troubleshooting support during construction and startup
  • Ensure systems comply with applicable engineering standards, electrical codes, and safety requirements
  • Support commissioning, validation, and long-term operation of the facility
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in instrumentation & controls, electrical engineering, or industrial automation environments
  • Experience working with PLCs, SCADA systems, DCS platforms, or industrial automation systems
  • Knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems, instrumentation, wiring, and industrial controls
  • Familiarity with NEC standards, electrical design practices, and industrial safety requirements
  • Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting projects from design through commissioning/startup
  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLC systems
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical
  • Understanding of SCADA systems and industrial networking
  • Exposure to nuclear, pharmaceutical, medical device, or highly regulated manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of cable shielding, instrumentation design, and safety-related systems
What Makes This Opportunity Unique
  • Work on first-of-its-kind fusion and medical isotope technology
  • Support real-world production systems used in cancer imaging and treatment
