Job summary

MaximaTek is seeking a detail-oriented Control Engineer to manage daily inspection protocols and production quality standards. You will act as the vital link between our manufacturing process owners, product engineering teams, and supply chain partners, ensuring products are manufactured with precision and in full regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
  • 0–5 years of experience in quality control, manufacturing inspection, or industrial engineering environments.
  • Strong understanding of Total Quality Management (TQM) and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in precision measuring instruments and reading blueprints/CAD drawings.
  • Familiarity with RCA, CAPA, and FMEA methodologies.
  • Excellent technical writing and organizational skills.
  • Certification (or eligibility) for ASQ CQE or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
  • Experience with automated inspection systems in regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of metrology standards and Agile production methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Quality lifecycle management: coordinate daily QC activities, including in-process inspections, final product testing, and NCRs.
  • Regulatory & technical compliance: maintain documentation and ensure safety, environmental, and SOP adherence.
  • Data integrity: apply ALCOA+ principles to logs, batch records, and material certifications.
  • Risk mitigation: monitor production line and supply chain bottlenecks; report defects and deviations.
  • Quality assurance: support audits to meet GxP and ISO 9001 standards; maintain specs.
  • Technical liaison: serve as primary contact for audits and third-party vendors.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Control Engineer to manage and oversee the daily inspection protocols and production quality standards. In this role, you will act as the vital link between our manufacturing process owners, product engineering teams, and supply chain partners, ensuring that all products are manufactured with maximum precision, durability, and adherence to strict industry governance and safety regulations.

Core Responsibilities
  • Quality Lifecycle Management: Coordinate daily QC activities, including in-process inspections, final product testing, and non-conformance reporting (NCR).
  • Regulatory & Technical Compliance: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and version control for design specifications; ensure all manufacturing activities align with safety laws, environmental regulations, and company SOPs.
  • Data Integrity: Perform accurate statistical process control (SPC) and validation; ensure "ALCOA+" principles are applied to testing logs, batch records, and material certifications.
  • Risk Mitigation: Monitor production line performance and supply chain bottlenecks; report significant defects or compliance deviations promptly to management and stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: Author and maintain functional and technical specifications; assist in internal and external audits to ensure GxP and ISO 9001 quality standards for manufacturing systems are met.
  • Technical Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for quality audits and third-party material vendors during performance reviews and technical inspections.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field (Required).
  • Experience: 0–5 years of experience in quality control, manufacturing inspection, or industrial engineering environments.
  • Technical Skills (Required):
  • Strong understanding of Total Quality Management (TQM) and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (CMM, Calipers, Micrometers) and reading blueprints/CAD drawings.
  • Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, and FMEA methodologies.
  • Excellent technical writing and organizational skills.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Certification (or eligibility) for ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
  • Experience with automated inspection systems in regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of metrology standards and Agile production methodologies.
