Newleafenergy in Boston is seeking a Contracts Specialist to manage clean energy project contracts. Responsibilities include drafting agreements, managing procurement, and monitoring compliance with project contracts.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of experience in renewable energy EPC contracting. They will also help mitigate risks and support contract management processes for significant clean energy projects.

We identify high-value sites, work with landowners and local communities to develop them, and partner with long-term asset owners to bring the most impactful clean energy projects to life.
New Leaf Energy’s Contracts Specialist is responsible for managing the execution and administration of all clean energy project contracts. The role focuses primarily on the new Power Plants division (IPP). In the first six months, the successful candidate will work closely with the Vice President of Power Plants to set up systems for managing EPC, O&M, and supply and purchase agreements for the first tranche of IPP projects slated to break ground in the second half of 2026. Over the long term, the position will support other project-level contracts across the development business, including equipment procurement and vendor management within the Engineering division.
This position may be filled out of our Lowell or Boston, MA or Oakland, CA offices. Hybrid employees work in the office at least two days a week and may work from home on other days.

Compensation is market‑competitive base salary, above‑market variable compensation, and an equity‑like program. For this position in Boston the likely base salary range is $104,470 – $119,760. The at‑target annual cash bonus is an additional 10% of base salary, with geography‑based adjustments for other locations.
