Job summary

DSI Tech in Ashburn, Virginia is seeking a Contracts Specialist to support public sector proposal and contract functions with a focus on SLED and Federal opportunities. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years of progressive experience in proposal management or contracts.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with ability to influence and produce compliant proposals.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage contract execution, administration, compliance, and related documentation in accordance with contract requirements, government regulations, company policies, and applicable laws.
  • Partner with executive leadership, sales leaders, subject matter experts, vendors, and cross-functional teams to lead and support contractual training and establish schedule for sales reporting as per the requirements of the contract.
  • Identify, assess, and elevate contractual, compliance, and proposal-related risks; recommend mitigation strategies and drive timely resolution.
  • Maintain company licenses and state registrations, including payments of related fees, in cooperation with the accounting department.
  • Maintain and renew company-wide small business and minority certifications.
  • Maintain company insurance policies and provide COIs to customers.
  • Maintain and support company-wide logins to various regulatory websites and support the admin team.
  • Develop and maintain contractual and proposal tools, templates, content libraries, records, and reporting practices to improve consistency, efficiency, and team effectiveness.
  • Serve as a key point of coordination between internal departments, external partners, vendors, and customers to support successful contract and proposal outcomes.
  • Inform and coordinate with the Contracts and Proposals Manager on any issues related to contractual duties.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company, customer, contract, and proposal information.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

The Contracts Specialist provides full support to DSI Tech’s public sector proposal and contract functions, with a focus on SLED and Federal opportunities. This role oversees contract-related activities, drives compliance and risk mitigation, and leads cross-functional collaboration to develop timely, accurate, competitive, and high-quality submissions. The position is responsible for strengthening contractual operations, improving processes, and ensuring contract deliverables to support business growth and organizational objectives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years of progressive experience in proposal management, contracts, government procurement, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract management and administrative tasks ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Excellent writing, editing, communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence teams and develop clear, persuasive, and compliant proposal content.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, risks, and deliverables in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office applications required.

The typical salary range for this role is:

$60,000-$75,000 annually
