Job summary

Venture Global LNG seeks a Contracts Manager for Fabrication and Assembly Contracting (OFE) in Houston. You will lead negotiation of complex fabrication and assembly agreements, manage contract administration, and mentor a team.

Coordinate with legal, procurement, and project teams to ensure compliance and timely close-out. You will oversee change orders, manage claims strategy, and maintain CLM documentation, while visiting fabrication sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Business, or related field.
• Master’s degree.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience with contract/subcontract management and negotiation in LNG/power/oil & gas/industrial/construction.
• Experience drafting, redlining, negotiating and leading commercial and contractual negotiations.
• Experience managing and mentoring contract management teams.
• Excellent writing skills, including drafting contractual documents.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Draf, redline, and negotiate complex fabrication and assembly agreements with strategic contractors, in coordination with the OFE team and company counsel.
• Manage the contract administration function on assigned business units.
• Lead and mentor a team of contract administration professionals.
• Collaborate with SMEs to define strategies related to contracting, risk, controls, and taxes for all OFE agreements.
• Oversee change orders, task orders, amendments, and CLM entries with proper approvals.
• Support project teams in claims related to quantities, back-charges, defects, warranty, and acceptance.
• Draft official project notifications in coordination with technical, commercial, legal, and senior management.
• Ensure CLM/document uploads per DOA and approvals with Sourcing/Procurement.
• Advise project team on contractual questions via analyses and checklists.
• Coordinate project acceptance and close-out per contractual requirements.
• Maintain contract documentation repositories and logs.
• Attend management meetings and project reviews as required.
• Visit fabrication sites regularly during fabrication/assembly work.

We are seeking a Contracts Manager for Fabrication and Assembly Contracting, with experience and knowledge in contract formation, management, and execution of large and complex equipment and services agreements in the LNG industry.

The Contracts Manager for Fabrication and Assembly Contracting will lead the negotiation of terms and conditions with major Contractors, lead the contract management function for Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) Fabrication and Assembly Contracting, oversee the administration of variation management, claims, reporting, acceptance and closeout processes for assigned complex contracts associated with the OFE contracts for the Company’s projects. The Contracts Manager for Fabrication and Assembly Contracting will participate in a multi-disciplinary team that provides contracts lifecycle support.

The Contracts Manager for Fabrication and Assembly Contracting will report to the OFE Contracts Director and support the OFE Project Teams as necessary. This position will be located in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draf, redline, and negotiate complex fabrication and assembly agreements with strategic contractors, in coordination with the OFE team and assigned Company’s legal counsel.
• Manage the contract administration function on assigned business units.
• Lead and mentor a team of contract administration professionals.
• Collaborate with Venture Global’s team of Subject Matter Experts to define strategies related to contracting, risk management, controls, and taxes, for all assigned OFE agreements.
• Oversee collaboration with the OFE projects team to evaluate, negotiate and administer change orders, task orders, and amendments.
• Oversee the administration of new change order requests, including scope, target pricing, unit rates, reimbursable costs, and schedule definition, contractual amendments drafting, internal reviews and approvals, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform entries, and execution, ensuring adherence to Venture Global’s Guidelines and Procedures.
• Support the OFE Project Team in defining strategies for claims related to quantities, back-charges, defects, serial defects, warranty, and acceptance, amongst others.
• Draft strategic official project notifications or official response notices in coordination with technical and commercial experts, legal, and senior Management.
• Ensure compliance with requirements for contractual documents and requisitions upload to the CLM platform and approvals per Company’s DOA, as required, in coordination with the Sourcing and Procurement department.
• Advise the OFE Project Team on contractual questions by performing contract analyses and internal checklists.
• Coordinate projects acceptance and close out in accordance with contractual requirements, in coordination with project controls, legal, and OFE Project team.
• Maintain contract documentation repositories.
• Track and update all activities and progress on assigned agreements in Company’s designated logs.
• Attend management internal and external meetings, as required.
• Attend project kick off meetings, project progress internal and external review meetings, costs review meetings, and quality reviews, as necessary.
• Visit the fabrication sites regularly during the performance of fabrication and assembly work.
• Support other contract administration tasks assigned by the OFE Contracts Director.
