Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Contracts Manager for data center construction on a full-time on-site basis in the United States. You will provide authoritative advice on contracts and procurement, support project delivery, and develop contracting strategies for major construction initiatives.

Responsibilities include end-to-end procurement advisory, drafting RFPs, evaluating contracts, managing stakeholders, and ensuring SOX controls where applicable.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ experience in construction contract services.
  • Experience with GMP/Lump Sum or similar project-financed contracts is desirable.
  • Experience in multi-contracted environments.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfilling the responsibilities of a Contracts Manager.
  • Develop contracting strategies for major construction projects using a range of delivery models.
  • Provide contracts and procurement advice to private sector clients across healthcare, real estate, and other sectors.
  • Draft RFPs, evaluate scorecards and contracts, and support vendor procurement.
  • Develop contract structures for main delivery strategies, including multi-packaging on complex projects.
  • Support end-to-end procurement services on major construction projects.
  • Build relationships with project teams and clients and supervisors.
  • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Contracts Manager,who is highly experienced in providing authoritative advice and professional expertise in the fields of Contracts and Procurement Support along with Project Advise to a market leading client base.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity towork with an outstanding team of specialist consultants, advise major clients on large scale construction projects and challenge themselves in a market-leading global business.

Duties of This Role The individual will have the opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled team delivering best-in-class strategic procurement and contract advice, including end-to-end advisory services to one of our key account clients.

  • Fulfilling the responsibilities of a Contracts Manager.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of contracting strategies for major construction projects using a range of privately funded delivery models.
  • Support the provision of specialist contracts and related procurement advice to private sector clients across a variety of healthcare construction contracts.
  • Drafting Requests for Proposals (RFPs), evaluation of scorecards and contracts, and supporting the process for procuring vendors.
  • Developing contract structures for the main delivery strategies, including multi-packaging scenarios on complex projects with multiple contract interfaces.
  • Supporting end-to-end procurement services on major construction and construction services related projects.
  • Building positive relationships within the project team and with Client personnel and their key advisors.
  • Managing and updating internal contract team trackers, reviewing SOW’s and MPA’s proposal documentation and the work winning capability of the contract services division.
  • Supporting the delivery of both teams and wider business targets.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Requirements
  • Experience working in multiple contract environments and under a range of procurement/contract delivery routes.
  • Degree or equivalent in construction or a related course of study.
  • Confident, independent, and able to work autonomously without the need for supervision.
  • Ability to engage in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, adaptable and determined to succeed.

Education and Experience

  • At least 5 years’ experience in the construction industry and/or contract services to public and or private clients for large-scale capital investment projects.
  • Working knowledge and experience of various forms of contracts for the delivery of construction projects.
  • Experience working in a multi-contracted environment.
  • Experience in the development and procurement of GMP’s/Lump Sum or similar project-financed projects is desirable.
  • Supporting contract development and administration experience across a variety of sectors including health care, retrofits, and/or real estate; client-side.
  • Experience in implementing contracting strategies, including risk identification, quantification, and allocation.
  • Experience in contract development, supporting drafting bespoke contract schedules and clauses, and reviewing contract documents prepared by others.
  • Managing inputs from other professional team members, including technical, legal, and commercial/financial.
  • Proven ability to liaise with and coordinate multiple stakeholders to develop robust contract documents.

The salary range for this full-time role is $80K-$100K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
