Job summary

The role reports to the Senior Contracts Manager and requires a detail-oriented, proactive professional with strong analytical skills, capable of coordinating with multiple stakeholders to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review, negotiate, and manage contracts and subcontracts for construction operations.
• Proactively organize, analyze, and distribute contract documents for review.
• Prepare amendments, modifications or redlines to customer and vendor contracts.
• Track and maintain company contracts and related records.
• Research and file preliminary lien notices.
• Research, prepare, record and track construction collection remedies.
• Prepare agreements for subcontractors in consultation with project teams and Senior Contracts Manager.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure completeness and mitigate risk.
• Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external clients.

Business Unit Description

The Legal and Risk Management team is responsible for all legal and legal-related matters such as litigation, contracts, compliance, and driving record policies. This is a diverse, complex, and often unpredictable portfolio of challenges.

About The Role

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for the review, negotiation, and management of contracts and subcontracts for our construction operation teams.

• Proactive member of the Contracts Team who aids in the timely organization, analysis, review, distribution, and completion of contract documents for review by the interdisciplinary contract review/approval team.
• Preparation, summation and compilation of contract documents and comments from the review team and preparation of proposed amendments, modifications or redlines to customer and vendor contracts.
• Track and maintain company contracts and other records maintained by contracts team.
• Research, preparation and filing of preliminary lien notices.
• Research, preparation, recording and tracking of construction collection remedies.
• Prepare agreements for issuance to subcontractors while consulting project teams and Senior Contracts Manager and/or division counsel.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to confirm completeness and accuracy of proposed subcontracts, identifying and mitigating risks through contract provisions, and appropriately incorporating requirements from upper-tier agreements.
• Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
• Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Demonstrated contracts administration experience, with a minimum 5 years’ experience.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Able to work with multiple stakeholders to create optimal approaches and solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, DocuSign, and Adobe Acrobat experience required.

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: Bachelor’s degree.

Licensure/Certifications: N/A

Experience: Five (5) years of directly related experience in contracts management, working in-house within a corporate legal department or in a law firm setting. Construction experience, preferred.
