Job summary

AtkinsRéalis USA Inc. seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to support major capital projects in the United States. The role is based in Henderson, NV, with a hybrid work arrangement and up to 10% travel to project sites and client offices.

You will develop and negotiate contract strategies, manage the full lifecycle, and collaborate with project teams and legal counsel to allocate risks and ensure compliance across EPCM engagements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in contract management, procurement, commercial management, or project services.
  • Experience supporting major capital projects in mining, industrial, infrastructure, energy, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven experience managing the full contract lifecycle from procurement planning through project closeout.

Responsibilities

  • Develop contracting and procurement strategies aligned with project objectives.
  • Support procurement planning, package development, bidder prequalification, and sourcing activities.
  • Prepare and administer RFPs, RFQs, bid evaluations, and award recommendations.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Draft, negotiate, and finalize contractual agreements across multiple scopes.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure contracts define scope, deliverables, schedule, payments, warranties, and obligations.
  • Administer contract changes and change orders.
  • Monitor contractor performance, payments, and milestones.
  • Support project controls through accruals, forecasting, and cash-flow coordination.
  • Review closeout documentation for compliance.
  • Participate in client/contractor meetings.
  • Perform regular site visits (up to three days per week).
  • Utilize SAP and Ariba for procurement and contract management.

Job Description Overview

AtkinsRéalis Minerals & Metals USA is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to support major capital projects and EPCM programs across the United States. This position will be based in Henderson, Nevada. This requisition is intended to fill up to three (3) Senior Contracts Manager positions to support current and anticipated project demands. Successful candidates may be assigned to regional offices or client sites based on business needs. These positions will operate in a hybrid work environment, requiring a combination of office presence, project site support, and remote work. Travel up to 10% may be required to support project execution, negotiations, contractor interfaces, and key milestones. Reporting to the Procurement & Contracts Manager, the Contracts Manager is responsible for developing, negotiating, and administering contracts throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project-specific contracting and procurement strategies aligned with project objectives.
  • Support procurement planning, package development, bidder prequalification, and sourcing activities.
  • Prepare and administer RFPs, RFQs, bid evaluations, commercial assessments, and award recommendations.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Coordinate internal reviews and approvals in accordance with company governance requirements.
  • Draft, negotiate, and finalize construction, consulting, supply, service, and EPCM agreements.
  • Identify contractual and commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure contracts clearly define scope, deliverables, schedule, payment terms, warranties, and performance obligations.
  • Partner with project stakeholders and legal counsel to ensure appropriate allocation of project risks.
  • Administer contract changes, including entitlement assessments, change order negotiations, and risk management.
  • Monitor contractor performance, compliance, payment milestones, warranties, and deliverables.
  • Support project controls through accruals, forecasting, and cash-flow coordination.
  • Review contractor closeout documentation to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in project meetings with clients and contractors.
  • Perform regular site visits (up to three days per week, as required).
  • Utilize e-procurement and contract management systems such as SAP and Ariba.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of contracting processes and tools.
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Law, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in contract management, procurement, commercial management, or project services.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting major capital projects in mining, industrial, infrastructure, energy, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven experience managing the full contract lifecycle from procurement planning through project closeout.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial contracting, construction contracts, risk management, and contract administration.
  • Experience leading commercial negotiations and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $150,000 - $170,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
