Job summary

Sargent Aerospace & Defense is seeking a Contracts Administrator I to coordinate proposals, orders, and returns, ensuring contract compliance while supporting customer accounts.

Under supervision, you will negotiate terms, manage changes and claims, prepare RFPs/RFQs, and liaise with internal teams to meet deadlines. Ideal candidate has strong communication, organization, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Customer service, communications and relationship management for assigned accounts
  • Contract management, administration, and compliance including negotiation of terms and management of scope of work, terms and conditions, LTA’s, NDAs, ongoing compliance, changes
  • Monitor, management, and resolution of directed changes, cancellations, terminations, and associated claims
  • Order acknowledgement, processing, modifications, and maintenance of contract files
  • Support functional departments as necessary to meet customer requirements
  • Prepare, submit, and manage RFPs/RFQs including qualifying opportunities, strategy development, cost estimating, pricing strategy, approvals, submittals, follow-ups, and closing
  • Coordinate product returns, repairs, and warranty claims
  • Coordinates customer visits and meetings

Job description

The Contracts Administrator I is responsible for the coordination and administration of customer proposals, order processing and product returns. Manages assigned customer accounts focusing on customer satisfaction. Under general supervision, ensures contract compliance to customer requirements on proposals and orders. Possess strong coordinating and organization skills and the ability to prioritize ever changing customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, management, and resolution of directed changes, cancellations, terminations, and associated claims
  • Order acknowledgement, processing, modifications, and maintenance of contract files
  • Support functional departments as necessary to meet customer requirements
  • Prepare, submit, and manage RFPs/RFQs including qualifying opportunities, strategy development, cost estimating, pricing strategy, management approvals, submittals, follow-ups, and closing

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent and relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business preferred) OR
  • Associate’s Degree and 2 years of experience in sales or customer service
  • Previous Contract Administration/Customer Service Experience

Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, CUI and ITAR
