Hayward Lumber Corporation is seeking a Contractor Support in San Luis Obispo, CA. This full-time, hourly role focuses on managing contractor and professional customer orders, advising on products, and ensuring timely fulfillment.

Responsibilities include processing bulk and custom orders, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining clear communication with customers to meet project timelines. The ideal candidate has sales experience in construction and solid material knowledge.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sales, new construction and/or commercial projects preferred.
• Knowledge of building materials, building process, and local building codes preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent computer and math skills, including working with fractions/decimals.

Responsibilities

• Determine customers' needs and recommend products and solutions to add value to their business.
• Respond to inquiries about product selection, pricing, deliveries, and follow-ups.
• Develop profitable business with new customers through selling and service excellence.
• Code and input orders and schedule product delivery.
