Job summary

ClearPoint is seeking a Contractor Special Security Officer I (CSSO I) to oversee day-to-day SCIF security operations for sensitive facilities and ensure compliance with DoD, IC, NISPOM, SCI, and corporate requirements.

You will manage personnel, physical and information security, serving as the primary liaison with government security representatives. Responsibilities include SCIF access, documentation, briefings, training, inspections, and accreditation activities.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline plus four (4) years of related security experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum four (4) years of related security experience in an Intelligence Community environment.
• Demonstrated experience using DISS, NBIS, and other government security systems of record.
• Experience managing SCIF personnel, physical, and information security requirements.
• Knowledge of applicable DoD, NISPOM, SCI, and Intelligence Community security requirements.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily SCIF operations, access control, personnel rosters, and visitor certifications.
• Maintain SCIF security documentation, logs, records, DD254s, access lists, and accreditation materials.
• Process personnel security requirements, SCI eligibility, nominations, polygraph requests, and clearance actions in DISS.
• Conduct SCI indoctrinations, debriefings, annual refresher training, foreign travel briefings, and security education.
• Conduct inspections, maintain alarm and access control records, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Serve as liaison with government security representatives and communicate security requirements.

Your Mission

ClearEdge is hiring a Contractor Special Security Officer I (CSSO I) to oversee day‑to‑day security operations for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and ensure compliance with applicable DoD, Intelligence Community, NISPOM, SCI, and corporate security requirements.

You will manage personnel, physical, and information security functions while serving as a primary liaison with government security representatives. This role will oversee SCIF access and documentation, personnel security processing, SCI briefings and training, inspections, security reporting, and accreditation activities while maintaining a secure and compliant environment.

You Will Excel in This Role If You:

• Have strong experience supporting security programs within the Intelligence Community
• Are knowledgeable of NISPOM, SCI security requirements, DoD directives, and applicable ICDs
• Are highly detail‑oriented and comfortable managing extensive security documentation and records
• Communicate effectively with government representatives, customers, employees, and security leadership
• Can independently manage competing priorities while maintaining strict security standards
• Have strong judgment, integrity, and customer service skills
• Are able to provide top tier customer service
• Are comfortable responding to security matters and emergencies outside normal business hours

A Day in the Life:

• Managing daily SCIF operations, access control, personnel rosters, and visitor certifications

• Conducting SCI indoctrinations, debriefings, annual refresher training, foreign travel briefings, and security education
• Conducting inspections, maintaining alarm and access control records, and coordinating corrective actions
• Serving as the primary liaison with government security representatives and communicating security requirements and updates
• Investigating, documenting, and reporting security violations and incidents as required
• Supporting SCIF accreditation, inspections, emergency procedures, and other security requirements

What We Are Expecting From You:

• Active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline plus four (4) years of related security experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
• Minimum four (4) years of related security experience in an Intelligence Community environment
• Demonstrated experience using DISS, NBIS, and other government security systems of record
• Experience managing SCIF personnel, physical, and information security requirements
• Knowledge of applicable DoD, NISPOM, SCI, and Intelligence Community security requirements
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills

Nice to Have:

• Microsoft Office proficiency
• CSSO certification
• Experience managing SCIF accreditation and inspection activities
• Experience providing SCI security briefings, training, and debriefings
• Experience managing security violations, investigations, and corrective actions
• Experience training or supervising junior security personnel
• Familiarity with Escort and Courier, PII Safeguarding, and Cyber Awareness requirements
• Experience working directly with government security representatives
