Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) to serve as the primary security authority supporting classified programs. You will collaborate with program leadership, government customers, and corporate security to implement requirements, manage risk, and enable mission success.

The role requires a TS clearance with SCI eligibility and a strong balance of regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship with active Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility; ability to obtain CI polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of security experience or Master's with 3+ years.
  • Knowledge of ICDs, NISPOM, CFRs and security policies.

Responsibilities

  • Administer all security aspects for assigned classified programs per NISPOM, ICDs, and directives.
  • Oversee protection, transmission, reproduction, and destruction of classified information.
  • Maintain secure facilities and SCIF operations, visitor control, and physical security.
  • Develop and deliver security education and briefings for cleared personnel.
  • Partner with government customers, FSOs, PMs, and Information System Security staff to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct self-inspections, audits, and corrective actions to improve security processes.
  • Coordinate personnel security activities and documentation with the Personnel Security Manager.
  • Prepare security documentation including DD Form 254s and visit certifications.
  • Support security events, visits, inspections, and incident reporting.
  • Advise program teams with risk-based guidance balancing mission and compliance.

Vantor is seeking a highly motivated, self‑starter to join our team as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO). In this role, you will serve as the primary security authority supporting one or more classified customer programs. You will partner closely with program leadership, government customers, and corporate security to implement security requirements, manage program risk, and enable mission success. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, solutions‑oriented security professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, exercises sound judgment, and effectively balances regulatory compliance with operational excellence. Job Responsibilities
  • Administer all aspects of security for assigned classified programs in accordance with the NISPOM, ICDs, customer directives, and corporate security policies.
  • Oversee the protection, accountability, transmission, reproduction, and destruction of classified information and accountable material.
  • Establish and maintain secure facilities and workspaces, including supporting SCIF operations, visitor control, secure storage, and physical security requirements.
  • Develop, deliver, and maintain security education, awareness, and program‑specific security briefings for cleared personnel.
  • Partner with government customers, Facility Security Officers (FSOs), Program Managers, Information System Security personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with contractual and customer security requirements.
  • Conduct self‑inspections, inventories, audits, and security assessments, implementing corrective actions to maintain compliance and continuously improve the security processes.
  • Support personnel security activities by coordinating access requests, security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, and required documentation in partnership with the Personnel Security Manager.
  • Prepare and maintain security documentation, including DD Form 254s, security plans, visit certifications, access rosters, and other required records.
  • Support classified meetings, customer visits, inspections, and security incidents, ensuring timely reporting and resolution.
  • Serve as a trusted security advisor to program teams, balancing mission execution with security compliance by providing proactive guidance, risk‑based recommendations, and practical solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • US Citizenship with active Top Secret security clearance and current SCI eligibility; ability to obtain Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph and maintain access required.
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of industrial, government, or program security experience supporting classified programs, or a master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of national security policies, to include (but not limited to): ICDs, NISPOM, Executive Orders, customer specific directives and instructions, Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs), etc.
  • Experience administering SCI programs, personnel security, classified material control, and visitor management.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to operate effectively within a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary security environment spanning personnel, physical, information, and industrial security.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Previous experience serving as a CPSO, CSSO, FSO or equivalent security role supporting NRO, DoD, or Intelligence Community programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing customer requirements, and execute with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience preparing security documentation, reports, and compliance records.
Pay Transparency

To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate’s experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.

  • The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $78,000.00 - $104,000.00 - $114,400.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market‑driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
