Job summary

MHM Services of California, a Centurion company, seeks a full-time Independent Contractor Primary Care Physician to join our Coalinga State Hospital team just outside Fresno, CA. The physician will provide medical assessments, emergency and routine care, and supervise chronic disease treatment in a correctional setting.

Requirements include board certification or eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine, an active CA medical license, and DEA registration, plus ACLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Active unrestricted California Medical License (MD or DO).
• Active unrestricted DEA registration.
• Current ACLS and CPR certification.
• Ability to pass background check and obtain security clearance.
• 40 hours per week, daytime weekday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical assessments and evaluations.
• Treat emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues.
• Supervise medical treatment for chronic medical conditions.
• Participate in organizational initiatives to prevent diseases and injuries in a correctional setting.

MHM Services of California, a Centurion company, is proud to provide healthcare staffing to the California Department of State Hospitals.We are currently seeking a full-time Independent Contractor Primary Care Physician to join our team at Coalinga State Hospital located just outside of Fresno in Coalinga, California.The Primary Care Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations, provides treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, provides and supervises medical treatment for chronic medical conditions, and participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting. The Primary Care Physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director, and collaborates with the Health Services Administrator to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.Board Certified or eligible in Family Medicine or Internal MedicineActive unrestricted California Medical License for MD or DOActive unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certificateCurrent ACLS and CPR certificationMust be able to pass background check and obtain security clearance40 hours per week.
