Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Field Service Representative for a weapons systems program at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. You will be part of a CLS team supporting the IFPC Inc 2 launcher/interceptor solution, performing on-site maintenance, and assisting with field-level tasks.

The role requires a SECRET clearance, Bs/6+ years of experience, and ability to travel with a US passport. Expectmission-essential duties, deployment readiness, and potential overtime/work nonstandard shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 4+ years of relevant experience or 8+ years combined education/experience.

• Must understand basic software networking and be able to configure software/hardware for tests.
• Must upload and verify software packages/updates for launcher/interceptor solution.
• Must meet DoD deployment standards and possess a valid U.S. Passport with no travel restrictions.

• Proficient with Windows OS and Office Suite.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Support the customer in managing and monitoring the maintenance and sustainment program, including scheduling services, HW configuration, HW/SW troubleshooting and installation.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and failure troubleshooting across software, hardware, cabling, electrical systems and networks.
• Recommend actions to customer and peers based on experience.
• Create and update Work Orders, ensuring accuracy of maintenance reports.
• Read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Inspect and handle electrostatic sensitive devices.
• Support ongoing training with technical trainers to ensure a highly trained workforce.
• Understand customer expectations and maintain open communication with customer and partner companies.

This position is designated as Mission Essential with follow-on phase requirements for worldwide deployments, incorporating deployment training, military exercise participation, and other related training for the area of operations. The successful candidate may support military movement to a potentially hazardous zone, support any and all lead up events, working overtime and nonstandard shifts, as necessary.
Primary Responsibilities The successful candidate will:

• Support the customer in managing and monitoring the maintenance and sustainment program to include, but not limited to: scheduling and conducting services, HW configuration, HW/SW troubleshooting, and HW/SW installation.
• Contribute to Root Cause Analysis and failure troubleshooting that are above the level of the end-user to include, but not limited to: software, hardware, interconnecting cabling, electrical system, and networks.
• Recommend courses of action to the customer, end-user, and peers based on experiential knowledge.
• Create, update, and complete Work Orders with timely professionalism and verify the completeness and accuracy of maintenance reports.
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading and comprehending electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Handle and inspect electrostatic sensitive devices.
• Support ongoing training programs through collaboration with our technical trainers to ensure highly trained and competent service members.
• Understand the customer's expectations and perceptions in order to provide the best support possible; focusing on mission, values, and goals.
• Establish trust and confidence by creating and maintaining open, candid lines of communication with the customer, end-user, and partner companies & agencies.
• Demonstrate discipline, adaptability, attention to detail, sound judgement, initiative, and ability to foster collaboration.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or 8+ years equivalent experience/combined education.
• Must be able to possess and maintain a SECRET clearance
• Must understand basic software networking, ability to configure software/hardware to support various tests.
• Must have the ability to upload and verify various software packages and updates required to support the launcher/interceptor solution.
• Must meet physical deployment standards as set forth in, but not limited to, DoD Instruction 3020.41, Operational Contract Support, and applicable modifications.
• Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. Passport (Blue Book) with no restrictions on travel.
• Must be able to obtain CompTIA Security + certification.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Additional Deployment Criteria This position requires the successful candidate to pass medical, dental, and psychological screenings according to criteria established by the customer and be designated “fit for deployment.”
Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to master new technical and training applications within a short time.
• Experience, certification, or ability to obtain Common Faculty Development - Instructor Course certification.
• Experience and knowledge of US Army Air and Missile Defense operations.
• Experience and knowledge of US Army Supply and Logistics systems and practices.
• Knowledge of US Army Physical Security standards and practices, and COMSEC & CCI handling and utilization.
• CDL license or USG equivalent preferred.
