Responsibilities

• Simulator Operations: daily system initialization, readiness testing, and visual display calibration.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: isolate hardware/software faults to the LRU level; coordinate with engineering reach-back teams and apply OEM updates.
• VP-to-FTD Upgrade Support: oversee prototype-to-FTD transition and verify OEM upgrades with aircraft configurations.
• Generator Support: perform PMCS and monthly load-bank testing on the 10K diesel generator.
• Logistics: conduct inventories of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and report discrepancies.
• Device Maintenance & Program Integration: onsite maintenance per program docs; maintain device architecture training and parts integration.
• VIP Hosting & Stakeholder Engagement: host distinguished visitors and program office personnel.

Brown Technologies is currently seeking a Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Specialist to support the FLRAA MV-75 Multi-Mission Virtual Prototype (VP) / Flight Training Device (FTD) program. The CLS Specialist serves as the primary onsite technical authority and operator for the FLRAA MV-75 simulation environment, ensuring maximum operational readiness of simulation enclaves, tactical host computers, and facility power and HVAC systems. CLS team members are integrated into the FLRAA Program Office team and support the full range of device operations, maintenance, and upgrade activities. Standard shift is 0800–1600 with occasional weekend/holiday shifts; up to 25% travel may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Simulator Operations: Perform daily system initialization, readiness testing, and visual display calibration. Operate the Instructor Operator Station (IOS) to support military aircrews during training events.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Isolate hardware and software faults down to the Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) level and coordinate with engineering reach-back teams for complex repairs. Act as the onsite executor for system modifications by receiving, verifying, and uploading OEM software updates and patches; ensure successful installation, conduct operational checks, and confirm functionality within the simulation environment.
• VP-to-FTD Upgrade Support: Assist the Program Office in overseeing the prototype-to-FTD transition. Review OEM-presented upgrade plans, engineering changes, and technical documentation. Support the Program Office and training team during testing, troubleshooting, and validation events to verify OEM upgrades achieve concurrency with actual aircraft configurations.
• Generator Support: Execute scheduled Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and monthly load‑bank testing on the facility's dedicated military 10K diesel generator.
• Logistics: Conduct physical inventories of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and submit required maintenance and discrepancy reports.
• Device Maintenance & Program Integration: Conduct onsite maintenance using the Program Structure Documents developed by Bell, CAE, and TRU Simulation, and support all maintenance components documented in the Maintenance and Operations Manuals. Maintain training on device architecture and maintenance theory. Support Program Office activities including documentation review, procedure execution, parts integration into the devices, tear‑down and packing procedures, and other device‑related tasks.
• VIP Hosting & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary facility host for distinguished visitors (DVs), external stakeholders, and Program Office personnel. Conduct site tours covering simulator operational basics, facility capabilities, and a general overview of the FLRAA MV-75 Virtual Prototype.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of direct experience in flight simulation maintenance, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) systems, or tactical systems support.
• Hands-on experience configuring flight simulators, operating an Instructor Operator Station (IOS), and performing maintenance/load testing on military diesel tactical generators.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance.
• DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Availability for standard 0800–1600 shift plus occasional weekend/holiday shifts, and up to 25% travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous Army/military aviation training (highly valued in lieu of a degree).
• Experience with the FLRAA MV-75 program or Bell, CAE, or TRU Simulation training devices.
• Experience supporting prototype-to-fielded-device transitions, OEM engineering change review, or concurrency validation.
• Familiarity with facility power and HVAC systems supporting simulation enclaves.
• Experience hosting distinguished visitors and conducting site tours.
