Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN seeks a Clinical Lab Technologist for the Clinical Mass Spec Lab as a contractor. You will perform analyses to aid diagnosis and prognosis, operate sophisticated instrumentation, and report results while maintaining safety protocols.

The role is open to current Mayo Clinic contractors in the Mass Spec Lab, with a 2-year tenure requirement for transfers. Schedule is 4 nights of 10 hours Wed–Sat, with a weekend shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a biological science is required.
• Experience with operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and assay systems is desirable.
• Must be capable of producing accurate results under time constraints, multi-tasking, and performing in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs analyses to aid health care providers in diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of patients.
• Operates and maintains laboratory instrumentation; troubleshoots assays and evaluates test accuracy.
• Works with multiple computer systems to retrieve information and report results; adheres to safety protocols.
