Position Overview

We are seeking a contract writer to develop and write a Christ-centered book or Bible study on Proverbs 31. Far too often, Proverbs 31 is presented as an intimidating moralistic checklist or an unattainable standard of perfection that leaves women feeling exhausted, inadequate, and discouraged. This project will dismantle that paradigm, re-anchoring Proverbs 31 firmly in the gospel.

Rather than viewing the passage as a list of rules to measure up to, this resource will explore Proverbs 31 as a poem of praise for wisdom in action—pointing ultimately to Jesus Christ, who is the wisdom of God (1 Corinthians 1:30). The project will show how knowing and relying on Jesus, rather than self-reliance, transforms how a woman lives, works, loves her family, stewards her resources, and spends her time.

We are open to different conceptual directions for this project, including:

  • A full-length book exploring Proverbs 31 through a Christ-centered, non-moralistic lens—tracing how gospel grace frees a woman from performance-driven pressure and empowers her to live out biblical wisdom in her unique calling and season of life.
  • A structured Bible study (e.g., 4–6 weeks) that guides women line-by-line through the passage using robust exposition and connections to the person and work of Christ to help readers see the beauty of Jesus and learn the truth of Scripture
