Qualifications

• High school graduate and completion of an ORT program with one year clinical experience
• Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Washington State Surgical Technologist (ST) license required

Responsibilities

• Performs scrubbing, gowning, gloving and draping techniques per policy
• Hands instruments to surgeon and assistant intraoperatively
• Maintains sterile technique and aseptic conditions throughout the case
• Prepares specimens for laboratory analysis
• Assists with room turnover and restocks supplies
