Qualifications

• 5-7 years of traditional machining experience or trade school.
• At least 5 years of CNC machining experience.
• Prior experience with FANUC controls.
• Experience with a Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) or 4-jaw chucks.
• Machining large parts (50-60 inches diameter).
• Understanding of G and M codes; able to learn conversational programming.
• Stable work tenure.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Machines with minimal instruction and supervision.
• Validate machine programs and work instructions before machining.
• Detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust controls as required.
• Set up and operate CNC Machines for first article to prove out programs.
• Document actions by completing work order routings.
• Proof programs without assistance and ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain continuity across shifts by documenting actions and needs.
• Work as a team player in a fast-paced environment to meet production goals.
• Report problems to management and meet company production goals.
• Maintain safe operations per company policies and procedures.
• Process remaining parts while checking measurements and surface finish.
