Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in the Northeast is seeking a Contract Surety Underwriter based in Woburn, MA or Windsor, CT. You will underwrite contract bonds, assess risk, and manage agent relationships to drive growth in our surety portfolio.

This role requires 3-5 years of contract surety underwriting, strong financial analysis, and proficiency with Excel and Word. Travel up to 25% may be needed; a hybrid schedule is expected with in-office presence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of contract surety underwriting experience.
• Strong financial analysis of financial statements and audits.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word; good record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite contract surety bonds following guidelines.
• Manage daily bid and final bond requests.
• Review new contract bond submissions for completeness.
• Approve bonds within authority level.
• Oversee accounts' fiscal status and audits.
• Maintain credit documentation per procedures.
• Build agency relationships and secure new partnerships.
• Drive premium production growth through market knowledge.
• Provide quarterly updates to VP/Branch Manager.
