Job summary

Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher (SPED) certified in the state of practice to work in a school setting. This is a contract, full time position.

The role requires a valid South Carolina teaching license with a special education endorsement, and the ability to advocate for students with disabilities while coordinating with teachers, administrators and families. The position includes a competitive pay package and benefits through Centra.

Qualifications

• Must have passed content exam.
• Must be fully licensed with SC teaching license.
• Must be special education endorsed.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for all students with disabilities (SwD).
• Serve as liaison between teachers, administration, parents and students.
• Develop understanding of Special Education Law and school policies.
• Demonstrate impeccable communication and people skills.
• Be extremely organized and able to problem solve and multi-task.
• Maintain proficiency skills and meet deadlines.
