Censeo Consulting Group, a Washington DC–based management firm, seeks a Contract Specialist to support a federal client on acquisition planning, market research, and SOW/IGCE development. You will collaborate with CORs, program managers, and the acquisition team to ensure compliant, timely deliverables.

Ideal candidates have federal contracting experience, FAR knowledge, and strong communication and analytical skills, with a proven ability to work across diverse stakeholders in a hybrid

Qualifications

BA/BS from an accredited university.
5+ years of federal government acquisition management activities.
FAC-C Certification for a minimum of 5 years or civilian equivalent.
Integrated Contracts Expert (ICE) experience.
Professional certification (CPCM, CFCM, and/or DAWIA/FAC-C III) strongly preferred.
Background as a COR and/or Contract Specialist.
Direct experience with federal acquisition processes and documents (SOWs, market research, acquisition plans).
Knowledge of FAR and agency regulations; acquisition streamlining initiatives.
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

Provides acquisition lifecycle planning and execution support.
Develops SOWs/PWSs, IGCEs, market research, QASPs, RFPs, and project plans.
Serves as liaison between program and acquisition offices on complex procurements.
Delivers advisory support to government executives, program managers, CORs, and division managers.
Ensures on-time completion of deliverables and process improvements.
Support pre-solicitation and solicitation notices for vendor communities.
Assist programs post-award to ensure requirements are complete and actionable.
Operate as a team member with proactive project management.

Contract Specialist - Federal Contracting

The Position:

We are looking forpassionate, driven candidates to helpsolve our client’scomplexproblems andguidethemtowards operational success. As a ContractSpecialist, you willwork closely with our federal client toprovide innovative business strategies, agile procurement solutions, and work with the team to developand implementthe agency procurement policy/processes and provideconsulting support to the acquisition team.

Provides acquisition lifecycle planning and execution support
Demonstrates knowledge of major acquisition lifecycle environments for strategy development and associated best practices
Applies knowledge of federal procurement principles, policies, procedures, and standards to implement programmatic requirements
Provide Integrated Contracts Expert(ICE) support to client team in while supporting the engagement
Ensures on-time completion of task deliverables and activities such as developing SOWs/PWSs, IGCEs, market research, QASPs, RFPs, project and operational plans, and process improvements
Delivers expert advisory support to government senior executives, program managers, CORs, and division managers regarding the acquisition lifecycle
Preparing appropriate pre-solicitation and solicitation notices for OAS review for the vendor community through appropriate channels and support all aspects of solicitation and evaluation
Serves as a liaison between the program and acquisition offices on all matters of complex, high-dollar procurements
Provide proactive assistance to requesting programs and offices to ensure that requirements are complete and adequate for proceeding with procurement action

Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), agency-specific regulations, and acquisition streamlining initiatives and reforms
Excellent customer service skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong analytic skills
Strong understanding of various acquisition approaches and ability to formulate analyses and create comprehensive documentation
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
Ability to add value in semi-unstructured roles, working with diverse groups of stakeholders
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools, to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint

We work in a hybrid setting with flexibility to work from home and work in our office conveniently located in the heart of downtown, just a few blocks away from the White House. And with many of our clients also based in D.C., we have the luxury of leaving for a meeting and being back in the office in time for post-work happy hours, team dinners, and game nights.

The Fine Print:

The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $130,000 depending on experience
Expected travel 10% or less
This is an exempt, full-time position
This role is subject to a hybrid or remotework schedule

- Light Carrying: Physically transporting items weighing less than 15 pounds from one location to another
