ActioNet, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Electrician / Low Voltage Installation Technician for a contract position in the San Diego and Southern California area.

The role involves hands-on electrical and telecommunications installations with 2+ years of field experience and potential travel up to 50% to client sites. The contractor will perform ISP/OSP activities, conduit work (1”/2” EMT), cabling (copper/fiber), and safety-compliant installations in mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Experience working under a C-7 or similar low-voltage contractor.
• 2+ years of commercial EMT installation and low-voltage/electrical installation experience.
• Experience with 1” and 2” EMT conduit, including bends, offsets, saddles, and back-to-back bends.
• Experience installing structured cabling systems (copper and fiber).
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 50% to support project needs.
• Clean record and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and low-voltage installation activities supporting telecommunications infrastructure, network systems, and facility upgrades.
• Perform Inside Plant (ISP) installation activities, including cable routing, rack installation, equipment connections, cable management, and labeling.
• Support Outside Plant (OSP) activities, including pathway installation, cable placement, and infrastructure support.
• Install and work with electrical circuits, panels, grounding and bonding systems, UPS systems, PDUs, and related components.
• Install and bend EMT conduit, including 1” and 2” EMT, with 90-degree bends, offsets, saddles, and back-to-back bends.
• Perform cable terminations, certification testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and installation documentation.
• Ensure safety and compliance with electrical codes and customer requirements.

Journeyman Electrician / Low Voltage Installation Technician (Contract)

ActioNet is seeking a Journeyman Electrician / Low Voltage Installation Technician to support electrical and telecommunications infrastructure projects in the San Diego, CA / Southern California area. This is a contract opportunity for a hands-on professional with experience performing commercial electrical and low-voltage installations.

The ideal candidate has 2+ field experience, strong conduit and cabling installation skills, and the ability to support project-based work requiring occasional travel. This role is well suited for a licensed technician who enjoys hands-on installation work and supporting mission-critical infrastructure deployments.

Position Details

• Employment Type: Contractor (6-8 months)
• Location: Miramar / Southern California
• Hourly Rate: $ 56.00
• Travel: Travel up to 50% may be required to support customer locations and project activities

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial EMT installation and low-voltage/electrical installation experience.
• Experience working with 1” and 2” EMT conduit, including bends, offsets, saddles, and back-to-back bends.
• Experience installing structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic cabling.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred.
• Ability to travel as required to support project needs.
• Ability to safely perform physical field work, including lifting, climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, and working in various environments.
• Clean record and Valid Driver's License (to get on military installments and travel)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting telecommunications, data center, government, or DoD infrastructure projects.
• Experience with BICSI installation standards.
• Knowledge of grounding/bonding requirements and telecommunications infrastructure.
