Job summary

TalentBurst, Inc. is recruiting for an ICU RN on a 13-week contract in Round Rock, TX. The role features 7:00 PM–7:00 AM night shifts with rotating weekends and requires NIH, BLS, ACLS, and ICU experience.

Candidates will support critical care patients in a high-acuity unit and work with a dedicated team. NICU experience not required. Emphasis on patient safety and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification.
• Critical care (ICU) experience required.
• RN license and ability to work nights on a 13-week contract.

Responsibilities

• Perform care for ICU patients on 7:00 PM–7:00 AM shifts.
• Monitor patient status and respond to emergencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety.

• Number of Beds 22
• Number of Staff 60
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift 1 charge, RNs depending on census (1:2 ratio) sometimes (1:1 ratio), PCT is as needed
  • Night Shift - 1 charge, RNs depending on census (1:2 ratio) sometimes (1:1 ratio), PCT is as needed
• Patient Ratios 1:2, sometimes 1:1
• Type of equipment IABP, Impella, Ventiator, Arterial Line, Swan-Ganz catheters, SLED/TABLO machines, Belmont rapid infuser, traction, EVD, nitric oxide, Hemisphere
• EMR Meditech
• Permanent Positions on Unit Avaliable? (Y/N) No

Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• NIH, BLS, ACLS

Preferred or nice to have candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• Trauma credentials (TNCC, CATN, TNCC, TCAR)
• Post-op cardiac surgery experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

• Rapid sequence intubation, CABG and valve replacements, Thrombectomies, EVD insertions, SLED/TABLO, MTP, Cardioversion, IABP/Impella, TNK administration, vasopressors, IV sedation
