They are comfortable generating original story ideas, building sources, and translating complex policies and political dynamics into clear, accessible coverage that resonates with news-avoidant and lightly engaged audiences. They don’t hesitate to get in front of the camera, reporting the news for an audience of Granite Staters. They’re comfortable using creative tools to generate social content. They are values-driven, eager to use their reporting to strengthen democracy, hold powerful actors to account, and highlight solutions and impacts in communities across New Hampshire. Experience working with campaign-style content is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Deep familiarity with New Hampshire politics, institutions, and key issues

  • On-camera experience with social media videos, and an aptitude for creating them

  • Alignment with COURIER’s mission to provide fact-based, people-centered reporting that strengthens civic participation and democracy

Who We Are
