Job summary

Microsoft seeks a skilled Content Writer (Contract) to join a remote, staff augmentation team. You will craft evergreen blogs, FAQs, case studies, landing pages, emails, and white papers, aligning with SEO and GEO best practices to drive traffic and engagement.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of experience in SEO/GEO-driven content strategy and execution.
• 2–4+ years of experience with keyword research, search-intent mapping, and topic clustering.
• 2–4+ years of experience writing and optimizing long-form educational B2B content.
• Experience writing for advertising industry products or B2B technology strongly preferred.
• Portfolio of long-form educational content across digital, social, web, and campaigns.
• Ability to map content to search and AI answer intent.
• Strong SEO and GEO content strategy understanding.
• Experience managing external writers and reviewing third-party content submissions.

Responsibilities

• Create and edit optimized, educational content such as evergreen blogs, FAQs, and case studies targeting high-intent search queries.
• Conduct and apply SEO/GEO research, keyword research, and topic clustering to identify opportunities for net-new and refreshed content.
• Structure content for organic and AI-driven search discovery to maximize visibility and engagement.
• Support campaigns by creating and editing blogs, emails, and other content formats as needed.
• Improve content quality, clarity, and scalability using modern AI tooling.
• Ensure content quality, consistency, and alignment with brand and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with social and content teams, SMEs, and SEO stakeholders.
• Review SEO/GEO opportunities daily and track content opportunities based on performance insights.
