Job summary

Proactive MD is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our on-site health center team. The RN will deliver frontline care under physician direction, perform vital signs, assessments, and follow-up care to employees in a workplace setting.

Qualifications include a current compact nursing license, accreditation, and 1+ year clinic experience; bilingual Spanish/English preferred. The role supports the Patient Promise of patient-first care while ensuring OSHA/CLIA/HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• RN with a current compact nursing license.
• Spanish and English bilingual preferred, not required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 1+ year of clinic nursing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices; aware of state and federal requirements.
• Must align with Proactive MD programs and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provides complete patient assessment, including vital signs.
• Documents data in the patient record; may use IT systems.
• Assists the providers in consultations, treatment, and follow-up care.
• Executes medical regimens and nursing interventions as appropriate.
• Patient health counseling for families and caregivers.
• Medication reconciliation, management, inventory, education.
• Operates medical equipment; maintains supplies.
• Ensures OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulatory compliance.
• Triage calls for urgent appointments and referrals; documentation.
• May perform general office duties as needed.

Mon: 6:00am - 4:30pm Wed: 7:30am - 6:00pm Thu*: 6:00am - 4:30pm
Open 2:00pm – 12:00am on the third Thursday of each month

JOB SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides excellent care to our patients, acting as a frontline representative of our Patient Promise: We are only and always about the patient. We promise to always fight for their greatest good. The RN provides medical care at the direction of the provider of the Health Center based on the needs of the patient and works to meet the individual needs of each person that walks in the doors of the Health Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides complete patient assessment, including vital signs and pre-examination procedures. Gathers and assesses objective and subjective data from the patient.
• Documents data and assessments in the patient record. May use a computer system and information technology to ensure standard documentation, coding, and completion.
• Assists the providers in all aspects of the consultation, treatment, procedures, and follow-up care.
• Executing medical regimens and nursing interventions as appropriate for the setting and their competency.
• Patient health counseling and instruction, including meeting with families and caregivers.
• Medication reconciliation, management, patient compliance, inventory, education.
• Operating medical equipment.
• Maintaining medical supplies, inventory, and disposal.
• Ensures regulatory compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA guidelines.
• The position may include triage of calls for urgent appointments, referrals for patient consults and testing, insurance pre-certification, and documentation.
• May use general office skills including keyboarding, office computer software, filing, answering telephones, email, faxing, copying.
• Excellent customer service skills are needed for interacting with patients, families, and caregivers.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• RN with a current compact nursing license.
• Bilingual (Spanish and English) Preferred- but not required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• 1+ year of clinic nursing experience preferred
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as state, federal requirements
• Must be able to interpret and implement the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of Proactive MD
