Job summary

Tampa General Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Contract Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department hold shift during daytime hours.

The role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients across the life span, with emphasis on plan-of-care execution and patient advocacy. Under supervision, you will provide care in the Specialty Staffing Team, adhering to hospital policies and professional guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
• BSN and ACLS required (National Certification preferred).
• Minimum 1 year experience in Med/Surg/Tele or ED required.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements nursing care; documents nursing assessments, identifies and reports situations requiring intervention, formulates and communicates goal directed plan of care; assures patient rights.
• Provides professional nursing care to patients in all areas covered by the Specialty Staffing Team within the assigned clinical division.
• Performs duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Under general supervision of the Nurse Manager or designee, following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, delivers nursing care to patients throughout the life span, neonatal through geriatric.
