Job summary

Wheat Physical Therapy, LLC in Natchitoches, LA is seeking a dependable Physical Therapist (PT) and/or Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient orthopedic clinic on a contract/PRN basis. Eligible candidates will evaluate patients, develop plans of care, provide hands-on manual therapy, and educate on injury prevention.

Qualifications

• DPT or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
• Active Louisiana Physical Therapist license or eligibility.
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient orthopedic experience preferred.
• Strong clinical reasoning and differential diagnosis skills.
• Excellent communication and patient-centered care approach.
• Ability to manage a dynamic caseload efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• PT-Evaluate patients and develop individualized plans of care based on clinical findings and functional goals.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based treatment for a variety of orthopedic conditions.
• Progress and modify treatment plans based on patient response and outcomes.
• Provide hands-on manual therapy, therapeutic exercise prescription, and appropriate modalities.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and long-term wellness strategies.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Supervise and collaborate with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and support staff.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, referral sources, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
