Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in psychiatric care for a contract role in Louisiana. You will deliver high-quality nursing interventions for individuals with behavioral health challenges, prioritizing safety and recovery.

You will assess patients, develop and update care plans with interdisciplinary teams, administer medications, provide therapeutic support to patients and families, and maintain thorough documentation of progress and encounters.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license.
• Experience in psychiatric nursing or behavioral health settings.
• Strong assessment and crisis intervention skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of mental health medications and treatment modalities.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviors with compassion and professionalism.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and mental health evaluations
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Provide therapeutic interventions and support to patients and families
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment, and encounters
• Respond to psychiatric emergencies and participate in de-escalation as needed
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and coping strategies
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards
