The City of Santa Clara’s Silicon Valley Power (SVP) department is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage complex contracts, develop bid specifications, and oversee vendor negotiations. This role emphasizes compliance with prevailing wage laws and city procurement policies.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least three years of experience in large-scale procurements, with strong negotiation and communication skills.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Material or Supply Chain Management or closely related field.
• Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience facilitating large and complex procurements and negotiating, writing, and managing large and complex contracts.

Mansioni

• Facilitates highly complex contract negotiations with outside vendors.
• Works closely with client departments to develop bid specifications and requirements.
• Assesses acquisition and contract requirements to determine the most appropriate solicitation process.
