Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contracted 3-month assignment in Oceanside, CA. The role requires blood draws, specimen labeling, and proper transport of samples, with potential to float to PSC locations in Vista and Encinitas.

Requires a valid California phlebotomy certificate and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience. Schedule typically 6AM–6PM, Monday to Friday, with possible early starts or late finishes and one weekend per month.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment is required.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Performs blood draws and venipuncture with proper technique.
• Labels specimens, centrifuges, and documents maintenance data.
• Explains procedures clearly to patients and ensures specimen integrity.
• Packages specimens for transport and ensures correct labeling against requisitions.
• Maintains OSHA and DEP compliance and attends required trainings.
