Contract Performance Chef (Indianapolis, IN)

This role will execute championship-level nutrition for professional and elite athletes through Game Changing Fuel's meal programs. The optimal candidate will prepare meals that meet exact performance specifications while maintaining the highest culinary standards. You'll work directly with our registered dietitian and head chef to produce meals for NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and NCAA athletes who depend on precise nutrition for peak performance.

Role Overview

GCF is expanding its national network ofContract Performance Chefsto support pre-game, post-game, and in-flight meal production for teams across major U.S. markets. This flexible, project-based role is ideal for chefs with a passion for sports performance nutrition, impeccable execution, and the ability to deliver in fast-paced environments.

You will work on an as-needed basis to fulfill custom team or athlete-specific orders within your city. Opportunities vary weekly based on team travel, competition schedules, and facility needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute high-performance meals that meet GCF standards for quality, nutrition, and flavor
• Prepare, package, and deliver pre-game and post-game meals to team facilities or stadiums
• Produce in-flight catering orders for professional and collegiate team charters
• Follow client dietary guidelines, hydration plans, allergy specifications, and portioning standards
• Maintain pristine food safety, prep, transport, and documentation protocols
• Communicate effectively with GCF operations and performance nutrition staff
• Represent GCF with professionalism, reliability, and hospitality

Qualifications

• 3+ years of culinary experience (sports, performance nutrition, luxury catering, or fine dining preferred)
• Ability to execute high-volume, high-quality orders on tight timelines
• Strong understanding of performance-driven cooking and nutrient-focused menu execution
• Valid food handler’s certification and reliable transportation
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and game days
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience with team environments or elite athletes is a plus
