Job summary

Talent Management Plus, Inc. is seeking a Package Handler for a contract position in Vernon Hills. The role involves unloading inbound packages, sorting, unboxing, and quality control checks using RF scanners and AS400.

Responsibilities include offloading from trailers, labeling, and transporting pallets with a pallet jack while following safety guidelines. Prior warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational, counting, and multitasking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
• Ability to perform 8 or more hours of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying products in any combination at any given time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (team-lift for anything above 50 lbs).
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, which includes changes in temperature as the weather fluctuates, and noise from conveyors and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Offload packages from parcel trailers.
• Sort, un-box, and label products.
• Quality Control by accurately inspecting, counting, and receiving products using RF scanner or AS400 menu options.
• Use a pallet jack to transport pallets of materials or products.
• Adhere to preferred methods and safety guidelines.
• Rotate through various departmental tasks, including housekeeping.
