Position Purpose

Coordinate and negotiate hospital, physician (IPAs, PPMs, individual providers, multi-specialty groups) and ancillary service agreements in accordance with corporate, health plan, and State guidelines.

Responsibilities
  1. Recruit and develop provider network plan for the region and set of providers.
  2. Identify and initiate contact with potential providers.
  3. Negotiate contracts.
  4. Lead assigned negotiations (hospital, physician, ancillary) ensuring unit cost targets are met and objectives align with company and State reimbursement expectations.
  5. Facilitate provider setup and contract configuration for accurate claims processing.
  6. Evaluate and monitor provider performance standards and financial outcomes of contracts.
  7. Assist with credentialing activities and track progress.
  8. Organize provider focus groups.
  9. Coordinate with internal departments and providers to ensure contract compliance.
  10. Travel up to 25% may be required.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
  12. Ensure compliance with all policies and standards.
Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience. At least 2 years of experience in contracting, provider relations, or related roles in healthcare, managed care, or insurance environments.

License/Certification

Valid driver’s license.

Additional Details

This position is remote within the United States with up to 10% travel for onsite meetings.

Pay Range: $55,100.00 - $99,000.00 per year.

Centene offers comprehensive benefits including competitive pay, health insurance, 401K, stock plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, and flexible work arrangements (remote, hybrid, field, or office).

Pay will be adjusted based on skills, experience, education, and other factors. Total compensation may include incentives.
