Job description

We’re Scan.com. We’re building America’s national imaging network: the infrastructure that connects patients, providers, and payers to faster, better-value diagnostic imaging. Thousands of patients move through our platform every day, and each is a real person waiting for an answer to a healthcare concern. We exist to get them that answer faster.

We manage the medical imaging pathway end‑to‑end. Providers order through a single point of entry, and from there, we run the entire medical diagnostic pathway. Managing the full pathway, rather than brokering pieces of it, is what lets us deliver imaging faster, at higher quality, and at a lower cost than the fragmented status quo.

We’re looking for a Contract Negotiation Lead – Radiology Networks at an exciting time. We’ve raised over $200m in funding to date, reached profitability, and are growing 100% year-over-year.

Millions of people wait too long for a diagnosis. Come help us fix that.

WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE IN THIS ROLE:

This role sits at the heart of our network expansion and partnership management strategy, building and maintaining the radiology partnerships that power our nationwide platform. Reporting to Network Operations leadership, you’ll take full ownership of contract negotiations from first contact through signed agreement, and serve as the primary relationship owner for contracted radiology provider partners throughout the lifecycle of the partnership. This is a contract position designed for someone who moves fast, thinks strategically, and excels at both closing deals and nurturing long‑term partnerships. You will be empowered to independently shape deals that directly fuel our growth trajectory while ensuring ongoing partnership success.

As a scale‑up business, you can expect your role to develop over time. Here are some of the types of things you could be getting involved in:

  • Lead contract negotiations with radiology groups and imaging providers nationwide
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for contracted radiology provider partners
  • Develop and execute network expansion strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Maintain long‑term, strategic partnerships to ensure stability and network performance
  • Conduct recurring business review meetings to assess operational and financial performance
  • Track and analyze volume trends, turnaround times, and key service‑level metrics
  • Identify performance gaps and collaborate with partners on improvement plans
  • Analyze financial, utilization, and market data to support negotiation strategy
  • Draft, review, and finalize provider agreements in partnership with internal stakeholders
  • Manage multiple negotiations simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proactively manage issues, escalations, and contract compliance matters
  • Partner cross‑functionally (operations, clinical, finance) to support the overall partnership
  • Identify opportunities to improve contract terms, rates, and overall network value
WHAT YOU MIGHT BRING TO THE TABLE:

You don’t need to tick all the boxes to apply for this role. Whether it’s your first role or your fifth role, we believe everyone can add value, learn, and grow. However, these might be some of the ways you are currently adding value:

  • Strong contract negotiation experience, preferably in healthcare or provider contracting
  • Proven experience managing long‑term strategic partnerships and conducting business performance reviews
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data to inform strategy and identify performance trends
  • Experience building or expanding provider networks (radiology or imaging networks strongly preferred)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and thrive in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments
  • Comfort operating in high‑urgency, high‑volume situations where you’re managing multiple negotiations and ongoing partnerships simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across internal teams and external partners
  • Experience collaborating cross‑functionally with operations, clinical, and finance teams
  • Self‑starter mentality with the ability to take initiative and drive projects to completion
  • Fast, decisive, and detail‑oriented approach to work
  • Strategic thinking combined with a practical, execution‑focused mindset
AI REQUIREMENTS

At Scan.com, AI isn’t a side project; it’s how we work. We expect everyone to use AI to think faster, remove drudgery, and multiply their output. What we care about is judgment: knowing when AI makes you sharper, when it doesn’t, and how to use it responsibly around patient data. We’ll assess this in the way that matters for this role, using the tier below. You don’t need to be an engineer. You need to reach for the best tool and get more done as a result.

Tier 2 — For this role, you’re expected to be AI‑Amplified. AI is part of your daily workflow for drafting, analysis, and research, and you know how to check its output and use it responsibly with sensitive data. (most commercial, marketing, finance, people, and G&A roles)

One assessment principle across all tiers: we’re testing judgment and adaptability, not whether you’ve memorized today’s tools. Tools change quarterly; the ability to learn and apply them is what compounds.

A VIEW ON OUR CULTURE

We’re building something that matters. Every scan we speed up is a real person waiting on an answer, and that urgency runs through everything we do. We move fast, own outcomes, and take pride in our output. If you like ambiguity, working with ambitious people, and want your work to visibly move the needle, you’ll feel at home here. For you to be successful at Scan.com, you must embody our values.

HOW WE WILL INTERVIEW YOU

We keep our interview process short and sweet. Here are the stages you can expect, but we might switch up the order depending on team availability:

  1. 30‑minute introductory phone call with a member of our Talent Team.
  2. If it feels like there is an initial fit for all, we will invite you to a 45‑minute video call with the hiring manager. This is a more structured interview that will deep‑dive into the role and technical needs.
  3. ‘Scan Standard’ interview, where our panel screens for values alignment and the success factors that matter at Scan.com. You will also be assessed on your AI fluency at the stage and depth relevant to your role (see AI Requirements above).
  4. Meet the founders and/or other team members. Again, the length varies depending on how many people are involved and whether in person or via video call.
  5. Offer!
WHAT WE OFFER

We go beyond the basics with our benefits package. Here’s what you can expect from us:

  • Salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 + Bonus
  • Equity
  • 401k
  • Healthcare, Vision, and Dental
  • All the equipment needed for you to do your role effectively
  • Flexible working

  • Personal Development budgets
  • 18 days PTO plus public holidays
  • 10 paid sick days
