Job summary

BJC HealthCare in Missouri is seeking a Contracts Manager for pharmacy to provide contracting expertise to draft, interpret, and negotiate quality contracts for the organization’s pharmacy services.

You will work with BJC attorneys and contract staff to manage expiring contracts, draft and interpret terms, and coordinate timelines with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in contracting: less than 2 years required; 2–5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate or renegotiate commercial and legal terms with third parties.
• Manage the contract portfolio expiring contracts calendar and new contract requests overseeing the compliance of contracts within company policies and all contractual processes and actions.

Role Purpose

Provide contracting expertise to draft, interpret, and negotiate quality, minimal risk contracts for BJC Health System.

Responsibilities

• With support from BJC attorneys and Senior/Lead Contract Managers negotiate or renegotiate commercial and legal terms and conditions with third parties.
• Manage the Sourcing portfolio expiring contracts calendar and new contract requests overseeing the compliance of contracts within company policies and all contractual processes and actions.
• Draft, interpret, and evaluate contract language with minimal deviation.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align on timelines, deliverables, approvals, etc.
